Nationwide Sweepstakes Offers Several Prizes, Including Grand Prize of $25,000
Parsippany, New Jersey (February 2, 2005) - Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc. kicks off the BIC and Jackson Hewitt "Write Your Own Refund" sweepstakes. During this tax season, three million select packages of BIC stationery products will feature a coupon for $20 off tax preparation services at Jackson Hewitt Tax Service locations and instructions on how to enter the $25,000 grand prize sweepstakes.

"This program will allow both Jackson Hewitt and BIC customers to take advantage of the opportunity to buy a quality product, save money on professional tax preparation services and get a chance to win $25,000."
Sweepstakes entrants have the chance to win one of eight prizes, including five second prizes of $200, two first prizes of $2,000, and the grand prize of $25,000. Approximately two million packages of BIC Mechanical pencils and one million packages of BIC Wite-Out brand products will feature details on how to enter the sweepstakes online or by mail. Packages will also feature a coupon for $20 off tax preparation at Jackson Hewitt Tax Service locations. The specially-marked packages of BIC products are available for purchase at a variety of outlets, including national discount retailers and office supply chains. In addition, more than three million prior-year Jackson Hewitt customers will receive sweepstakes information by mail. Prior-year customers are automatically entered into the sweepstakes if they have their tax returns prepared at a local Jackson Hewitt office during the 2005 tax season. The sweepstakes runs through August 31, 2005 and is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry.

To enter, complete the online entry form or enter by mail by sending a legibly handwritten postage-paid postcard no larger than 4 1/2 inches by 6 inches (no envelopes accepted) to "BIC Jackson Hewitt Write Your Own Refund Sweepstakes" at P.O. Box 5259, Clinton, IA 52736-5259, and include your first and last name, full mailing address, optional email address, age, and phone number. All mailed in entries must be postmarked by August 31, 2005, and must be received by September 15, 2005. Limit one (1) entry per person/family/household regardless of the method of entry. No purchase is necessary.
